I did it. I went to the dark side. After a decade or so of Android, I switched to iPhone.
It turns out that the switch wasn’t hard, but it appears that I have added another platform to connect with people on.
I noticed several years ago that everyone seems to have their preferred platform of communication. Some are most easily reached via text, some Twitter, some Facebook messenger. Did you know that iPhone users have their own platform?
I have my phone number set up to loop through Google hangout so that I can text people from my desktop. However, iPhone text to iPhone text skips this loop. So, I either need to disengage Google hangouts or risk not seeing texts from my Android friends.
When Paul said he tries to be all things to all people, I suspect he never dreamed what that would look like in the information age.
In other news, the NY times quoted an interesting study (hidden inside a political opinion piece) that shows a correlation between family systems and values.
