Convincing Yourself to Change

How flexible are you?With the time change comes a real need: get energy – anywhere we can.

Today, I took a look at my need for exercise in an attempt to convince myself to get to the gym. I used a fun matrix to work through these thoughts:

SWOT – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats

Strengths – the joy I get once I get started.

Weaknesses – (well, this list is long)

Opportunities – energy, improved physical, focus time, example for my kids, increased serotonin

Threats – inertia, no designated time

The funny thing is that once I wrote out this list, I found more reasons to exercise than not.

What do you want to change? Take a moment, and write out your SWOT. You might just find the impetus you need to start your change.
